IIRC, and this is only half-remembered information from years ago: tribulus does its work by poisoning some of our brain in order to off-set our hormone regulation.

I have no interest in taking tribulus, but people should poke around pubmed for a bit before taking this supplement. Especially with regards to how it affects the pituitary.
