Those are very good questions!
Whereas in the new interdisciplinary science of Stemology—the study of STEM matrices, entities of space, time, energy, and matter in the Universe above and beyond; and on our unique planet Earth (please see my new book Gods, Genes, Conscience)—and especially in psychology, “quality time” is the emotions that we are able to spend and experience with our fellow human beings (e.g. our loved ones); or intellectually, with our own mind—specifically the active, creative, perceptive, imaginative, reflective, productive kind of mind within in our brain!
Meanwhile, “ether” is still just an imaginary medium that our ancient intellectuals had had expressed in metaphor and in metaphysics, that may or may not fill (or exist, as is, in) the Universe—like our modern day “dark” energy or antimatter that may or may exist in Space that astrophysicists and cosmologists are still eagerly, busily looking for, investigating in, as well as evermore speculating on today!
Nevertheless, at least, for the time being, in cosmology and mathematics, “time” remains an indicator; an illusive amorphous factor; an infinite factor that represents the infinite properties of infinite STEM matrices (material as well as ethereal) which may fill the entire Universe above and beyond, ad infinitum!
