I don't think it's man-made. I'm reading a book at the moment which uses it to illustrate divergence of species, and it explains that HIV is closely related to a harmful ape virus, SIV (simian immunodeficiency virus).

There's a book titled "The River." It deals with the origin of AIDS. I haven't read the book, but I did see a documentary based on the information in it and it was very excellent. The basic premise is that HIV jumped species because in the search for a polio vaccination the researchers were using ground up chimpanzee parts.

Ground up Chimpanzee parts? That's the first I've heard of that! But I have heard of it being everything from a man screwed a monkey to it being a diabolical plan by the US government to rid the country of gays and drug abusers. More than likely a man slaughtered a monkey and was exposed to the virus through the blood.

What on Earth would cause anyone to post such a question on a science and physics forum. Or to join a science and physics forum to post such a question. Go and join a gay website or a sexual practice website - they are a lot more likely to give you a reasonable answer.
It beggars belief what some people put on these boards - I put up with the creationism/religion idiocy as it seems to keep them to their own section but I will not sit by and let the rest of the baords be deluged in non-scientific crap.
Toria - please tell me why you thought it was a good idea to join here and then post such a non-scientific question in the 'puzzling questions' section when in fact it doesn't puzzle anyone and is not technical in any way whatsoever.
I am not normally aggressive towards new members but I am getting sick of all the rubbish that gets posted here. Read the section at the top of the page '...are totally dedicated to science, physics and technology' so where does this question/inquiry fit in = nowhere at all.

This was a false promise and this was a full live, nonatenuaited virus, vaccinated into blacks homosexuals and gays.

What the then paranoid government did not realize, what that bisexuals cover both sides of the fence, so them being both sexually fluent with men and wimen, helped spread a AIDS to both sides of the Atlantic.

All primates, including man, carry herpes, in some form or another.

In mankind, its just in there and is registered at the base of the spine, as proven by records, of the Los Anglels County Coroners Office, on an asked survey of fresh deceased.

However this herpes, is not the kind that is AIDS.

well, you see, HIV virus is not man made. There were a few assumptions that HIV virus started from apes. Man then ate the meat. That was how man got the virus. It was still unknown how the apes got the virus.

About women getting infected when married to man with HIV........ the women might get the virus of she has sex with him. On top of that, if she gets pregnant, the baby will get infected too. That is why the infected women would take a kind of pill to prevent the baby from getting infected too.

Chances of contracting AIDs when having a sexual intercourse is quite high. Hope this answers your questions.
