Headline says "laptop", but content mainly discusses "notebook" computers. Are there significant differences between the two?
Logan
"Laptop" is an outdated term for the same thing as a "notebook". The term changed when they realized that laptops get very hot and often times have air intakes or outputs on the bottom, so they aren't particularly suited to be used on your lap. In order to avoid ridiculous complaints and possible legal action, there was a unified movement to rechristen all laptop devices, "notebooks". However, the general population still uses the terms interchangeably, if not more often preferring the term "laptop", especially amongst the non-tech savvy crowd.

Laptops are usually large size. Note books are a lot smaller and often will not have CD/DVD drives (which have to be seperate and plugged in).
