this is quite similar to maxwell"s "demon" hypothesis

Very strange, anybody who knows how it really works?

" his is very easy. We have superconductors connected via tunnel junctions to a piece of normal metal and you apply voltage between two junctions from the battery. An applied voltage to the gate then allows us to control the flow of individual electrons. We can tune the contact further so that only the hot electrons can escape. This results in cooling.” two superconductors? At what temperature? And how do the they mean with " only the hot electrons can escape " escape where? And why would they be hotter than other electrons? It sounds really cool though, but i don't get it??
Solid State Universe
Basically, it's a peltier element.

But because he's using superconducting elements, the sensitivity of the device goes through the roof.
