HI, I read with interest your story about the metamaterial that could transform ultrasound imaging. I am a registered diagnostic medical sonographer. This sounds pretty exciting, but I wonder how long it will take to make this all come about for my profession. Any idea on that anyone? thanks.

We all read how metamaterial guides light around an object making it appear invisible or transparent. By the same token, the object will not be impacted by the incident light. Generally, this could be bad for the shielded object, but if doing this for sound this could be great. Better to have quiet than to be in the dark, so to speak.
