dont see whats the big deal. regular fracturing is not unusual.

If I'm not mistaken, the current method of creating microchips is a tedious and lengthy etching and cutting process (well, not so tedious, but infinitely longer than a clean break). this would just make the process of manufacturing fast... very fast.
