i fail to see how the initial conclusion follows from the latter assertion. for if identifiable fingerprints are found in the paintings, and none belong to pollock, surely we can rule out his authorship... the same for dna.
therefore, i see no reason to rule out a critical role for dna or fingerprints in the authentication of the Matter paintings. it does not have to work both ways to have a critical role.
