chaous system

I just read a statement order out of chaous. Some place I recall reading this, although it has been sometime ago. Could someone explain the chaous system to me.
Question, how many thermodynamics are there? I believe that there is only three.
Back to chaous, where would someone use this system? I know that nasa uses some of it. But not all of it.
Question. whatt ypes of gases surround saturn, but not mars. Or did mars move close enough to the earth, to loose it's gases?
