... 15th anniversary of the brutal June 1989 crackdown on democracy activists in Beijing"s Tiananmen Square....

You can"t remind the citizens of China the type of people the Chinese government are because you can not speak the truth in China unless approved by the government. But the bright side is that they have all these child and adult labor factories that produce all of the good products that we Americans consume by the billions at low cost. Thanks China for treating your people like crap so that the rest of the world can live cheaper by buying your products. And I am sure this will continue because if someone were to stand up and say anything that was not pre-approved would find themselves in jail.

You may be able to suppress the 1989 crackdown in China but the rest of the world still remembers. And hey kids! Walmart and other stores buy 80% of there products from China so remember this the next time you shop there...
Observer
The Chinese comply out of docility rather than fear. Breaking the docility is considered as serious as breaking the law. This seems to be the major cultural difference. You gain stability and security at the cost of freedom. It is a tradeoff. In an extreme case, you can see formerly democratic governments imposing martial law in a disorderly state. Or even more crazy, children with names resembling terrorists are detained from flights.

There is also a trust issue between government and people. The Chinese government doesn't trust any dissenters apparently. How long will it take for this distrust to go away? Is it completely gone in the US?
freedom of press
Freedom of press can be a tricky thing, even in the US.

See this for example.

There should always be dialogue between information source and information receiver to guard the safety of both parties in whatever legal context is involved.

Yahoo is going down hill. Junk message boards, Q&A service with unreliable sources. Inability to do good business in China. Losing ground to Google.

It is a shame since they were one of the starters of widespread Internet use, but their service can't keep up.

Try reading the posts beforehand, and you might be able to post something a bit more relevant.
