The string theory can be understood by intuitive way just through AWT, which explains the strings as a dense fluctuations of hypothetical inertial environment, forming the vacuum (aka Aether). You should realize, the string theory doesn't derives its formalism from Newtonian mechanics, but from quantum mechanics, which wasn't explained yet. So you cannot expect the intuitive understanding from string theory, because the string theory is just formal model, a sort of regression curve of reality.

Get the DVD of the NOVA episodes "The Elegant Universe." It is about 3 hours long and gives a good overview.

I always find Wikipedia a big help when I don't understand something. Ooh, by the way, Empress Palpatine - the Han Solo quote is "Traveling through hyperspace ain't like dusting crops, boy!". I always notice that when I see your signature, but I always forget to say something! smile.gif

You cannot because you make no attempt to do so and you are of the ignorant belief that maths is not a tool in aiding conceptual understanding.

The huge plethora of physicists who are highly competant at mathematics and who can explain string phenomena and concepts nicely demonstrate the nonsense of your claims.

You instead have to resort to lies to try to make AWT seem good. You fail.

OK, therefore by your understanding the strings CAN NOT be the density fluctuations of dense inertial environment forming the vacuum, analogous to density fluctuations inside of condensing supercritical vapor?

If not, why exactly?

I'm sure you do....

What do you mean by that?
