America's marvelous news media that constantly promises to tell us "All We Need To Know" apparently doesn't believe we need to know why people who drink river water are less competent and more messed up than those who drink well water.
Most wealthy folks know why so they don't drink from the public water supply where municipalities use rivers instead of wells. But then, most wealthy folks don't trust what news services say and can afford to buy clean water.

All competent city planners know that individual wells provide pure water, are much less expensive and are not vulnerable to terrorist mass poisonings. (These can be carried out with gradually destructive poisons injected from any home or fireplug in the system.) But best of all, wells don't carry the heavy load of hormones, endocrine disruptors, THMs, fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, antibiotics and complex chemical compounds found in river water wherever upstream cities dump sewage to streams and croplands aren't properly managed. These damage brain tissue in its earliest formative stage and stunt brain growth in children, producing a less-than-normal human on average, one that is much easier for the criminals to rob and politicians to fool. The males are generally not as capable of - or interested in - reproduction, kind of like with donkeys, both physically and politically.

Here in the flatland boondocks of SE North Carolina we drink cool clear well water, but just upstream in Fayetteville drinking water of the general public and the military population of Fort Bragg (one of America's largest military bases) is grossly polluted by sewage effluent from a million upstream toilets-streets-farms.

Thankfully most in the military don't stay long but their kids are diminished by this.

For many decades drinking river water has been blamed jokingly for the weird hangups, general incompetence and goofy politicians of downstream cities like Fayetteville - Los Angeles - New York - New Orleans - Portland - Chicago.
Turns out the old-timers knew what they were talking about.

The excellent Marines of Camp Pendleton are also forced to drink water that is badly contaminated by the farm-street runoff and sewage effluent of a quarter-million people because upstream Riverside County's Chief Engineers have been "senstive to needs of the business community". Translation: They've been fooled or coerced or bought by lhe land developers who buy cheap floodplain land and then deceive or corrupt politicians so that "flood control" facilities (note the oxymoronic nature of this term) are built, making that land worth ten times as much because it becomes 'buildable'. (Land speculation is our nations oldest and most profitable scam, the main game of the largest part of the criminal element of our business community.)

But the Marines will get even for their base being poisoned and flooded. Those Riverside County civil engineers have given the ignorant and/or stupid majority of voters upstream a mountain of debt to pay off and forced them to drink the sewage effluent of Sacramento and Las Vegas, ensuring a lot of brain-damaged, 'neutered' kids who will be willing servants to the next generation of Syndicate profiteers. (California's World-supreme land speculation Syndicate has arranged for the waterborne brain-deadening of most of that state's population, piping deeply polluted water to the vast majority of residents and cutting off their right to have wells. It can be certain that a majority in upcoming generations will be too dimwitted and docile to object to being robbed and misguided into choosing liberal politicians as they work on the plantation of The Man.)

Do I exaggerate the damage from chemical poisoning of river waters?
If you can set aside whatever you've read in the news/entertainment media (one and the same, owned by the land speculators) and are wise enough to surf beyond the first ten pages of our masterfully manipulated Internet you can learn a lot about how badly We the People are fooled in all matters relating to the management of our water resources.

Every capable civil engineer knows that there can be no good excuse for people drinking river and lake water, that storing rainwater underground is the cheapest, safest form of flood control - environmental pollution reduction - water supply.
But major news service journalists are not interested in what honest and competent experts have to say. And most Americans have been so thoroughly fooled-distracted-exploited that they don't bother to inform themselves properly, making them willing tools of the profiteers.
