[COLOR=blue] What good is God when millions pray, and yet others become maimed or dead? What good is it to have Him as an explanation when natural causes suffice? As science reveals teleonomy-mechanism-causalism rather than teleology, to postulate Him behind matters as that Grand Miracle Monger, Prime Mover and so forth, contradicts science and obfuscates it, besides violating the Ockham with the need to explain the convoluted, ad hoc assumptions behind Him, and thus make the new Omphalos argument that rather than that He made artefacts appear ancient, He makes natural causes appear as their own power when He acts behind the scenes as that Divine Wizard!
No, directed evolution -theistic evolution is perforce an irrelevant, useless redundancy, Alister Earl McGrath notwithstanding!
Studies of prayer reveal no divine action! The superstitious respond, why His no might be just a means of getting the higher good , and how dare we question Him? That's a rationalization, and He has the duty to have put us into a better place, that's a one-way street as we have no duty to respond to Him in a relationship or worship Him per Lamberth's Google:]the argument from autonomy.
How can He even exist when He has incoherent, contradictory attributes- just a square circle! laugh.gif
How meaningful and rational is it to have a relationship with someone who would allow the Holocaust? Is it that eternal life overcomes that? How? It doesn't , just as if I broke your arms and then gave you a million dollars!
How could He even act without a brain and thus no mind per the argument from physical mind, if He is disembodied? Alvin Plantinga notwithstanding, this is a major argument! We gnu atheists demand evidence, and here only metaphysical it might be and it must comes forth. What is the evidence for Heaven and Hell and contra-causal [causal ] free will and the future state?
For the irrationalists like Soren Kierkegaard with his abject faith, and Alvin Planting with his warrant for God as basic, evidence requires itself, other wise, every fanatic and- scam artist has warrant, and even Planting himself recognizes that but hides behind, why this warrant is endemic to Christianity, but again the fanatic would be right with that relativistic argument!
Why do people desire to think fo themselves as sinners, but whom He will save with the Atonement? Rational people recognize that the Atonement bespeaks the barbarism of a Monster!
Why would a rational person ever succumb to this bunkum? We forgive ourselves and others; we make our apologies. No God has the right to take our responsibility!
How could again God act in the world unless He were only only immanent? He couldn't be both immanent and transcendent as the first contradicts the latter? How could He be transcendent when the Cosmos is all, and thus no other place exists for Him? As cause, event and time presuppose previous ones, no needs exist to posit Him as that Primary Cause!
How then can the superstitious claim He exists?
Their fundamental arguments are those from personal incredulity and from ignorance! They cannot fathom that natural laws and causes and order and regularity inhere in the Cosmos! Thus, they find flawed arguments, built on logical fallacies and that's why Fr. Griggs notes :" Logic is the bane of theists."

Is this iterations of the Problem of Evil?

More like pre-formatted spam. This poster doesn't actually discuss anything, he just starts new threads, revives his old threads and leaves.
PhysOrg scientific forums are totally dedicated to science, physics, and technology.
