Now that don't sound like it makes much sense I know . If you do the number chart that centers around the 666 and map out all the fives and all the sevens then run your eye down it like it was a page you would see what I am talking about . It moves from right to left as your eye runs down the page. I bet if you did it mechanically with film it would appear to do the same thing like a cartoon . How Architects are pretty much progressive and even some builders are progressive . Mainly by there age group of being Flower Children that never really gave up the dream but lay doormat ready for these here end times of indecisiveness . Engineers can go either way but also lean more progressive . Yeah there is plenty of stanch rightys . Some even white supremacist types that curl your hair from the ignorance of there protectionist view point of kill em all and let god sort out the dead bodies
Now to the Point < She was at a Tester Rally . Now my Wife has developed a political pull of her own from being a well respected E.O. of an Association with National ties . She Called Reburg another one of Our Reps. to big brother and asked Him to come to Her office for a little chat. Well lickity split he Came with bells on . No one could believe he came but as I told my wife " You have more political power than you think because of the policy you implement on the local level . The national agenda has taken notice and have adopted some of your success . So they are listening because of it . She says in her shyness . No No No and then I say Yah Yeah Yeah . You crazy cause I watched your clout grow and I saw the people take notice . She lives in denial of that fact , but it keeps her head down so she can barrel on with out her head getting in the way of her work . Work to save a dying industry due to the down turn coupled with political will of a government
So Tester was offered the same opportunity to talk to the blue collar and the professional by way of the M.B.I.A . No response. Kathy Asked Shelby to see if she could help in any way for she wants the membership to have an informed view point as to make better decisions by being better informed by both sides. Considering the Membership contains a diverse population of all political perspectives .
So Shelby's with Tester and her group is all young college type students seriously progressive with a capito; P and conservation tattooed on there heads . So you can see why Tester is there listening to and speaking to this bunch as they represent his base real good like .

My father realized his son is a musician and not a laborer today for the first time in my adult life . A little anti-climatic yet very rewarding in the same breath .

Me and my star Brian Lawrence was forming the hub . The main element that makes the carousel work . A round blob of concrete with very tight tolerances cause the whole mechanism spins off that one hub.
Yeah hot day to work in the sun much less do concrete work . You get to pour early on days like that .
So Now I am working again on the 4th . Yeah Rattlesnake Gardens . That is where I will be working this year on the 4th of July , Except I will be playing Guitar .

114 is the hottest I have done carpentry work in. Now that is misery . Give it a try some time. Vacavilli California Close to the Milk Cow place if you ever drove to S.F. from Sacramento . That is the same subdivision another carpenter cut his hand off at the wrist with a skill saw . He had his guard pinned back like so many carpenters do. I am one of the few who don't pin there guard back . Not Like I never do cause once in a Blue Moon even I pin my Guard back .
See engineers think about this < When you use the guard there is this slight torque from the guard contacting the wood at the same time the cut starts . So you get a little wobble at the initial start of the cut caused by the guard . So that is why the Carpenter pins the guard back . To prevent that wiggle in the initial start of the cut .
Me I compensate . Course I know how to bump the guard also so tricks like that can be a guys best friend
So he had his guard pin back walking top plate , cutting tails with his pinned back guard with his finger on the trigger and he tripped on one off the trusses . Ah yeah &%$### Wrist be gone

See engineers think about this < When you use the guard there is this slight torque from the guard contacting the wood at the same time the cut starts . So you get a little wobble at the initial start of the cut caused by the guard . So that is why the Carpenter pins the guard back . To prevent that wiggle in the initial start of the cut .

no. i am . There is no mistake there . I manage it in real life . I don't manage it around here so much . To be your self kind of thing . i didn't make that up . The red rock that a native man from browning gave me . Black Foot . He was a Black foot Man . 3 days later a kid kicked a rock in the same parking lot when a girl asked what he was going to do with that rock . He said watch it roll . It started with the neighbor kids . Teenagers across the street playing basketball . She threw the ball and it stopped on a plate that held the hoop . I mean it just stopped right there like it froze in time . The girl walked up to it and jumped to knock it off as it slowly fell off at the same time she jumped up to knock it off . It was a moment in time that you don't see very often as the rest of the shooting was as expected , in the hoop or bounce off as a miss .
I contemplated the strangeness of the odds and the fact that I was sitting there witnessing that very moment .
Anyway I end up watching the Olympics later that night and I was watching swimming and a false start happened . Anyone see that . It was like a glitch where the command was not called to set but the buzzer went off and one swimmer jumped into action as the rest were bewildered .
The climax was in Gymnastics and I am positive you Brits saw that or heard about it . The glitch all about the silver turning to bronze . Ah yeah ? What happened there .

So the landing before you went into the house was 5' by about 10 ft and was 32" off the ground with several steps going up to the landing . The landing was flanked by 4 big rocks then the steps and deck of the landing were long pieces of granite slabs . Very cool . I would want one . Natural blending with the environment was grand . Not quite like ruins , but they could have been except for the concrete beds under neath i suppose. There was some types of concrete in ancient times I do believe .

Well Well. 2 days ago Our sax player started playing with Zeppo . Which is Rick Parnell"s old band splintered. Rick was in the movie Spinal Tap. Semi Famous with his own wiki page . Paul our thinks he can play in both bands . Maybe seeing how I play in 2 bands . He already has a conflict with a gig date in Oct so the rest of the band is freaking just a little , but funny Mary got a call from the old Sax player from Zeppo . He wants to play with us . Strange how musical chairs is being played to some degree .
We think we better cultivate a couple of solo artists to fill in .
Funny cause now I know and am friends with 3 people in Zeppo . They get a lot of work and are well received in Missoula . When you say Zeppo town folks say " Thats a good band . Funk is there main style I think .
Hyrum hooked up Zeppo with there bass player who use to play with "Mid-Life Crises " me rock band . Not that one in Minnesota or the south . SAeems to be several Mid-Life Crises bands .
Anyway seems several musicians would like to play with Blue Moon. Me jazz band .
That new Sax Player that use to play with Zeppo took our demo so he could learn the tunes while he sits on a look out watching for fires . We will see what happens . I really like playing with Paul . He is a good good player . I see why Zeppo snagged him .
Anywho I am going to be living under Rufus's mothers house in her crawl space that is only about 20" of clearance for a couple days next week. She has an over span in her floor joist system so I am going to put in a couple footings and split the load . Rufus is a world renown celloist ( base player extraordinaire) He plays with one of the Peter, Paul and Mary children . She is a singer. For you that are old enough they did songs Like Puff the Magic Dragon , 500 miles and general all around folk singers , flower children . Joan Baez days . Simon and Garfunkel and the likes
So Rufus as far as I know don't know me . He knows my brother . I am sure he will be glad I am living and crawling like a worm under his mothers house though .
I doubt very much that he will think of me as a musician. His base style is very similar to my guitar style . Ah yeah

It will have to get bigger better and command more fees , but we are hitting local main stream now . Wow it is hard to get out of a basement but the hard work is going to start paying off .
I was noticing how good a singer Larry our base player really is Friday night . Yeah man he is definitely a singer now . He surprised him self back a couple years ago for he never saw him self as a singer . I tell you when he sings " To Hard to Handle it screams of greatness out of that Larry
I heard my phrase on the street to day . A Salish Kootenia Man named Frankie of all names was walking by my house with a guitar in his hand as I was in my truck getting ready to leave the house . I asked him what kind of guitar he had . He whipped it out and showed me . He was drunk last night and busted it on the leading edge of the front face were it meets the side . I know what happened . Same thing happened to my first guitar . He dropped it and it hit the corner of the front side down just below the button where you would have a strap holding the guitar around your neck . Same place my guitar blew out a hole when my strap slipped off the back button . He didn't have a strap so he probably was holding precariously in the first place then add in some drunkenness and there you go . Bam on the ground . Mine was concrete when it hit . Lost a lot sound from the fracturing of the body .
Anyway he used my expression " That is good beer " He used it in the same context also as he was referring to getting jobs as a musician. That was strange cause I never heard any one say that but Me and you could tell it was relatively new for him cause he showed he was on shaky ground by his uneasiness when he used the expression like I might not get it and the reference it was intended for. Very strange . I gave him a ride to Shrek which is a church that plays a rock and roll sermon for its large congregation . It was started by a preacher son and has grown into a very liberal church gathering . Bikers for Christ is involved also as they put that on there Bill Board .
That church was branching out until the Young Preacher got caught soliciting hookers in Minneapolis I believe .

What a night last night and yesterday all together .
So I read up on this girl who was native American in 1650ish . Yesterday I posted about it but forgot her name . Her Indian name and her new Catholic name . I remember her catholic name now because of the events last night . Cathrine . That is it .
I will find out once again what her native name was .
So they say Miricles are still happening that are about old young 23 year old when she died Catherine with an Indian name something like Katia but that is not quite right .
So first off it was band practice with Mary as we work out the main lines of the songs before the drummer and sax player join in . So we meet once a week just me and Mary . Now some of you out there know about my adventures with a girl named Erin . Half my age . Looks like the girls you see in Greek Art . Yeah way . Just like that . She is tall ,slender, and has very very beautiful Greek features. Stunning to be quite frank and my love potion number 9 goes up to about 99 when she is around . I think she has the same prob as she must always hug me with that kind of hug were you start to wonder if there ever going to let go . Plus her hands and arms are moving around with the hug . The thing is I am singled out for the hug . Not like she hugs every one in the room.
So I have not seen her for a while for last times she had her boy friend with her and things were getting awkward because of her hug obsession I think. Don't know , but i steered clear because of the tension present may it just be my own sexual tension and nothing else.
Anyway low and behold Erin was at practice and Mary said " Hope you don't mind " I am thinking " I don't mind at all as my heart skipped a beat with acceleration of its speed enough to pulse some blood right were I usually manually had to induce.
God that girl . O.K. we will let that go as while she was singing to the music her flirtation was more than my wishful thinking I am a afraid. I will let that one lay there . No encouragement. It is not really sexual . It is but it is not . I don't know what it is . I feel better when I am around her . Enough . I need to get her out of my mind for that is not the thing .
Catherine is . So My wife is named Kathy so how could I forget ? Don't know ? Maybe it was the way Catherine from the 1650s cut her self , starved her self and flogged her self with who knows what kind of whips with metal nails our beads at the ends of the strands she beat her self with and I just could not identify the Cathys as the same name .
So we are having a grand time playing and singing and the vision of Erin is in my sights and she sings so so good and is so beautiful like a Greek Goddess and she is whipping her legs open and closed and I mean open eagle spread style with some pretty short shorts on . Winking at Me in a terrible terrible way and my wife Kathy is no longer held in the image of my mind and all I can think about is the Crosby Stills and Nash song " Love the one your with . Blam Blam Blam a knock at the door like they was going to beat it down . I recognized the knock but my mind was not putting it totally together . Erin ran to the door and peered out and said " It is a Cop " Well
Mary comes uncorked because she thinks all cops are corrupt and distrusts them just for being cops . Me not so . Cops are my buddies and love them as my brother for it is true they live to protect and serve for the most part and are just as much people as any one . In fact better because of the danger they face for the rest of us to be safer.
Not the point . So we are startled by this cop banging like cops bang on doors . Mary is freaking and Erin heads out the back door like a bolt of lightning .
I go to the door with ease and Mary follows me then reaches out in front of me and opens the door .
Well the cop stutters a little bit at first as Mary starts to Blab what ever I got no Idea what Mary was saying . But then she shuts up and the cop Says . We got a distress call of a woman needing medical assistance in her garage. We can't the address. There appears to be no address and no garages on your block . Then Mary says " There are no garages on this block . The cop looks bewildered and asks Mary if she knows anyone named Katherine on the street . I am thinking what the *** " Katherine . What is up with that and the image of Erin Flashes in my mind in duality with the image of my wife Kathy .
Mary says " I don't know any Katherine on the street . So they leave . We look around and that is when we realize Erin Bolted like lightning . We saw her go out the back door but she was no were to be found . We called her and she came back and Kathy my wife was in my brain the rest of the play of the night . Then as I got in my truck I was thinking man that was strange that cop and all that . Then the news flash in my Brain that that Native Girl in the 1650s was named Catherine .
Strange in deed for the timing that is .
Anyway my desire is for Erin and me to lay on a bed together and explore the nuances of our flesh together , but no .
She looks so young . I tried to find out and she would not tell Me . She just gave me that devilish smile with a warm giggle . I would think she was about 23 but the funny thing is she was the German Teacher at Hell Gate and switched professions to a Massages Therapist for Hospice. Mary comes uncorked because she thinks all cops are corrupt and distrusts them just for being cops . Me not so . In fact better because of the danger they face for the rest of us to be safer.
Not the point . So we are startled by this cop banging like cops bang on doors . Mary is freaking and Erin heads out the back door like a bolt of lightning .

We got a distress call of a woman needing medical assistance in her garage. We can't the address. There appears to be no address and no garages on your block . Then Mary says " There are no garages on this block . The cop looks bewildered and asks Mary if she knows anyone named Katherine on the street . I am thinking what the *** " Katherine . What is up with that and the image of Erin Flashes in my mind in duality with the image of my wife Kathy .
Mary says " I don't know any Katherine on the street . So they leave . We look around and that is when we realize Erin Bolted like lightning . We saw her go out the back door but she was no were to be found . We called her and she came back and Kathy my wife was in my brain the rest of the play of the night . i was thinking about my experience of rolling across a bed of rocks under a house in 18" of vertical space . How would that be mapped out in a math equation ? I mean it is not nothing like a rigid roll on a smooth surface . It is more flailing or how would one ay it . I tell you what it was and I think it happened after Don the contractor left the area . It is a book shelf loaded with books that take up an area about the size of Manhattan. No it is 4' by 8' with shelves to the ceiling from the floor . Before the footings went in to carry the load you could walk on the floor up in the attic and feel the house move and I mean the whole house . So the load was transferred to a laundry room wall that was in the middle of I joist on the first floor joist system . You could feel it failing every time you walked up the stairs and particularly when you approached the massive book shelf .
But is was strange when we gutted the area and exposed the frame as the carpenters had cut the trusses and slam bammed a floor truss some what out of the trusses . Yeah hack and whack as it looked like an after thought to add the attic space . Like at the last minute someone decided not to waste the space and Hodge Podged it together with chewing gum and duct tape. Yeah it probably would have stood for Helen remaining life span, but at some point failure was inevitable. No sign of splintered stressed lumber or manufactured wood materials but the sag in the floor was way obvious as to be about 1/2 of an inch in that localized area . Doomed to fail unless supported .

I know that guy . I installed heating systems in the houses he built. You get the picture .
I tell you what branding takes some time . The hotter the iron I guess .
People I don't think realize the work it takes to get good at something . The kind of focus it takes . Dedication in-spite of the worlds demands on your time.
See the audience will never know how when I was young how I would play guitar of 8 hr. at a time 7 days a week . How Christmas day was no exception to the rule . That was 5 years of my life . But the thing is you got to change it up . You can't just play Mary Had A Little lamb for 8 hr, a day for 5 years . That is how some people think . Especially when they get old . Changes start to get difficult. Displacement may help , but old mind sets that depend on things staying the same ? It is understandable . I am set in my ways pretty much . Not always .

It did 5 to 8 for Lolo and 7 to 9 for the birthday party.

I built a stair for A influential woman ( C.E.O. of a major corporation one time that was not much different . Made pretty good money too .
She paid me more than her typical fly by night drunk carpenter and there was plenty willing to take my place and build the stairs at about 1/3 less price . 33% discount is pretty attractive.
The set up was on by one of my cronies . He told her if she wanted circular stairs I was the guy , but she probably could not get me to do it as I was a general contractor and my radius stairs were more for my customers as an incidental to the bigger job it self . I had no idea he told her that . She was hell bent to prove him wrong and she came to my last parade of homes House ( which I might add is coming up soon . Like weekend after this one for anyone that wants to see how the rich and famous live . So she got me and why would I not want to do her stairs . I live to do radius stairs from the first time I learned how to do them when Bod Villa was interviewing a young carpenter in L.A. on how to frame a circular stair case . That guy was younger than me at the time . He was like 18 or 19 and already knew the tricks . I was about 27 28 at the time I believe . I already watched some extremely good wood workers bend the rails at Dan Benvenuti"s house a few years before that as I was a trim carpenter on his house in Sacramento . I don't if he does still but he was owner of the Sacramento Kings Basket Ball team . The rumor is he is mob connected . I don't know if I believe all that but possible. He may still know who I am but probably not . The inspector made a big deal out of knowing me as he went through the house with Dan. I lost my point bragging about my carpenter skills .
Oh Yeah She had to have me and I had my price that it took for me to compete the project with maximum skill . Her husband was mad a bit and it showed right from the get go . Black Hawk down guy . She won out and paid my price because she had to prove to Scott my guy that she could get me to do it and that Scott was wrong . Kind of a " Every body has there price kind of thing is how I read it . That is not true for another customer already taught me a valuable lesson of learning how to turn down a job . His job went south right from the start . He was a new york Police officer that trusted no one . He told me he lays awake up night worrying about the job . That was the first day of the job and it made me pause for a second when he said it . He did from that day on and every day something was not right in his eyes . His dad was a contractor so he also thought he knew every thing there was to know about building . Well that was in the 30s and this was in the early 90s .
At the end of the job and the end of my sanity for after that even if heard a New York accent I would come uncorked . For about 2 years if I heard a New Yorker they better run as far as they could from Me . I still remember his words . You could have passed . I said what do you mean . He said " You didn't take the job " It is your own fault for taking the job . You could have passed .
He said you could have passed about four or five times before he said " You didn't have to take the job . My mind then could not understand what he was saying when he was just saying . You could have passed . What does that mean ? I don't know what you mean ? I could have passed ? What a Gaul stone ? So when i finally understood I adopted it and I learned to pass on some jobs . It don't pay to pay to work was the end lesson .
I made a commitment and there was no way I was backing out of my commitment and this is talking about the Mary thing today . I had to pass , but like the Stair lady thank god they accommodated because they wanted us not someone else .

I was talking to the boss woman and telling her I had noticed the couple coming in about ta fund raiser and getting it on T.V. that I had a fund raiser event coming up on the 13 of Oct. where we are going to build a small house in the parking lot of the mall . I told her how it was an action plan to stimulate the faltering wood industry and in the same breath meet the housing needs of the Haitian populace . So she said " Bring it to me in writing and we will do it .
Then the power went off and a few of the girls working there screamed ( said it scared them , there was no lightening or event that would normally cause a black out . The lights came on and my boss girl said that was unusual . Then I turned to her and said " Don't for get about W.F.H.
She knew I was associating the power outage as divine intervention as to sink it home .
She laughed
That is a true event .
I think I am there scary maintenance man now . The electrical engineer hinted at that very thing . Marilyn is how I was put in the position . She is the one that wanted me to call the station and talk to them about doing maintenance . I didn't . She got me to do the drop so that is my first contact .

I caused the event and realized it. By my words I caused it and from understanding what transpired I was able to change my destructive behavior towards all of my relationships . Words have effects . We are not aware of the full extent of there effects .
The verbal communication was small talk . The hidden desires language moving to despair was not. You know what they say Actions speak louder than talk . So true and a deafness a shout . I can't believe I finally met Rufus the world famous cellist. He just happened to show up for Hospice Carnival of the Dead , Something me and Mary been cooking up for a while. so i don't think i told you Rufus showed up with his ancient violin thing and played with us on our Muslim rock . HE fit right in with that weird little instrument. Even in the beginnings of the movement when there is only this electronic sitar box with a heart beat heavy breathing and Mary singing with a gypsy scale that goes whole step whole step half step pattern . I came to realize it is not much different than moving a chord a half step . It marries up well with that kind of chord movement and must have been invented for that very purpose.
Anyway Rufus is a natural at the scale and he could not resist adding to that sound in the beginnings of the music when he was suppose to be quite. God that girl is extremely exotic for a white girl . Tall white girl . She has to be taller than me . I am sure she must be about an inch taller than me which would make her over six feet tall . Long legs that could take giant steps in any cotton field.
She would make a great girlfriend . She dumped her boyfriend too. So when she brushed her body with her beasts slamming into me I felt not one bit of guilt for her doing so .
