Is 7 December 2006 the launch date for Microsoft"s next operating system?

The official release date has already been decided for Windows Vista, according to rumours which say you can expect it to be ready in time to make an appearance late next year.

According to a report by Windows IT Pro, the official date for a full Vista release will be 7 December 2006, with the second beta of the product being released to testers late this year.

I can't wait for Vista. With its new emphasis on advanced DRM measures, I now can cede control of my PERSONAL computer to the magnaminous corportions that so enrich my life. Finally, I will no longer have to think -- just a simple flick of the wrist to sign my paycheck is all that will be necessary. Ahhhh, the good life.

I can't wait to update my computer to Vista, oh, I mean update my computer for Vista blink.gif The hardware requirements are so great that the RAM required to run the OS won't be available until sometime after the OS is projected to be released. huh.gif

Have a look at this http://www.tomshardware.com/hardnews/20050908_100000.html

This from the company who's founder once said, "Who needs more than 1K of ram?" laugh.gif

Then again, Microsoft knows better how to run my computer than I do!! dry.gif

I even worked at MS, in internal tools and in research...

At this point I will never use another MS product again unless I am paided A-MEGA-UBER-LOT of seven figure money.

That is not going to happen

So I switched to Linux

Funny thing, I am now again interested in computers of their Own sake and has a platform for my research. It reminds me of the enjoyment I used to feel before windows.

We wrote allmost bug free code.

The only reason I went to Windows in the first place is because I was sick of custom device drivers for every board and people were willing to pay alot of money. I did windows dev for the money only.

Vista is the last 'straw' for me, it too big an insult to just ignore in my personal case.

With Linux/UNIX dev I can figure stuff out without running into blocks.

With MS dev I was allways running into blocks and knowledge partitions.

Even internally at MS, people 'owned' knowledge and builds, etc.

I did not realise that MS was the reason I had started allmost hating computers ( something which is my lifes work, sigh... ) until I stoped working with any of their tools.

I will not use vista, I will stop using computers before that.

Also, MS is evil in a way that has not really been expressed correctly, when I was up there on the campus the last time the Crows told me many odd things and doings.

The crow is my family bird, they lie sure, but the lie is a way that is also truth via archtype dream logic.

This proves the MS can make some people crasy enough to think they can talk to animals.

Anyway, windows Vista is a scam.
