I can think of many uses of this technology if it developes. Very cool.

This could probably be used in a sensor technology. One could have a shallow skin of water in a satillite, and detect the movement of water. You would need to have a grid over it to help discover the sources of light.

The exposure time would be long but possibly more sensitive than other methods. Plus it would help eliminate noise.
