Using Earths Magnetic Field for Communication

Hi all Iam new to this site. so this one is goin to be my first question.
Is it possible to Use the Earths Magnetic Field for communication.I mean that can I setup a transmitter at North Pole the source of Earths Magnetic Field and an transmit the signal worldwide like the magnetic field of earth felt worldwide ?

The magnetic north and south poles don't line up with the geographic north and south poles but are shifted a significant distance. Besides, what device is going to play back the magnetic "signal"?
