Lost in this data is the fact that at least 20% of this group(at a minimum) are not Americans as all..They are ILLEGAL ALIENS!According to my Congressman, who has tried to obtain estimates from the Dept. of Health and Human Services, there has been no direct measure of the exact number of Illegal aliens who are included in this figure incorrectly as Unisured Americans but at least 20% of the number is off. Nearly all illegal aliens have NO HEALTH INSURANCE and our current "don"t ask, don"t tell" policy practiced by our hospitals and the ACLU precludes knowing this number which could be significanty higher. Until we deport Illegal aliens from this country or separate them out by consumption of services, we have no idea how many uninsured Americans there really are.

Yes, illegal immigration is the "elephant in the room" for many of these misleading studies. I don't believe the problem lies in the author's awareness - more likely, the facts conflict with his/her polical correctness.

what's the difference?
you trust your money to some else less qualified than yourself, to manage your healthcare.
and the amount you paid does not match the service you get.

health insurance is only relatively convenient if your employer pay the most of the expenses, otherwise it is not worthy and detrimental for self employer.

cheer.
