Yesterday i was reading this article !.. We are knowing for a long time that there are living huge amounts of organisms in the Sediments of the deepest seas am i wright ? Otherwise we wouldn't have huge amounts oil and other fossil fuels on our planet.

These slow duplicating microbes in these sediments where thus expected ?. But is the rate of duplicating a disappointment, and are these microbes really Bacteria or semi Bacteria ?.. I think if there are huge amounts of bacteria under the sea floor we can speak really of a living and recycling planet (a sort of huge organism) maybe GAIA !..

I am new on this forum and very interested in Microbiological world its really fascinating
