UWB communications, offering vastly improved efficiency and security, clearly is the future! ...a future that any advanced society would discover and quickly exploit.

As a result, we now know the decades long search for extra terrestrial life via listening for radio transmissions was worthless and foolish. Only civilizations in the narrow time span between discovery of basic radio communications and the discovery of UWB technologies would be transmitting carrier signals which SETA and other such search efforts could detect.

Hummm.... Though I know it is not supported by spectrum analysis, wouldn"t it be a real knee-slapper if it turned out the "background radiation" we"ve been detecting for decades was not from the big bang, but is the heavy chatter from all our UWB using celestial neighbors!
