Where does stored nuclear waste go?
www.physorg.com/news115392494.html
Keep in mind that this is referring to the Hanford Nuclear Site which was originally established as part of the Manhatten Project during WW2.
Its purpose was to produce the nuclear materials (primarilay Plutonium 239) to make Nuclear Bombs.
It is NOT about Nuclear Waste associated with Nuclear Power Plants.

Wow. That sure helps understand more, since I never heard much about Hanford.
So how do they plan to get rid of that stuff? I'd fire pellets of the stuff back into the Sun. And I don't think it is a preposterous idea.

Just for fun, do a good search on how to make armor piercing ammunition.

Thanks for the link, Paul. I suppose there are worse things but I can't imagine hurling toxic waste about is a very good idea.

Oh, I never said this was a good thing. But if you need to take out a tank well,,,
I am in favor of making batteries out of the stuff. (not for the general public).
