I'd like to introduce the topic (time travel using technology) that will investigate a more realistic way of time travel. To my knowledge, a mathematical model already exists somewhere in the world that suggests physical time travel is theoretically possible.

However, if your like me - you want answers and outcomes on a far more 'realistic' scale. The target of time travel is one subjective to the conscious/subconscious mind - as far as reality goes. We want to be able to travel back in time whilst keeping the conscious/subconscious mind very much preserved. Unfortunately, the one massive obstacle in the way when it comes to actual time travel, is matter. However, the conscious/subconscious mind is a very different matter to physical matter. It is not permanently attached, meaning that it can move both forward and backward - it is not fixated to one place.

If you ever had a dream where your able to 'be back in that situation' just as it was, or visit a place of the past - the truth is your mind has successively completed a time travel, because it has extracted memories and impulses that were 'created and stored' at the time of actually being there to create that scene in the first place.

Now, for the technological part. If scientists can develop a device to 'feed video (picture and sound) data into the mind - whilst that person is sleeping (or in a dream state) it could be possible to trick the mind into thinking its actually there. It would be essentially the same as using a machine to 'program' your dream and feed it into your conscious mind whilst you are asleep.

The mind would process this information it is being fed, just as if it was actually there, 'seeing and hearing' from the primary senses. Except, all senses would be bypassed. This would mean a much more accurate and better time travel, because the mind is actually being fed a captured video from the past. Using a video feed, or even images, you could trick the mind into time traveling 10, 15 maybe even 30 years ago whilst you keep your current physical state unchanged.

I can provide the technology. however for the mechanism space and time are directly entangled. traversing time will require great distances. Fortunately that is the problem with traversing such distances in space exploration. 8)

time has it's own set of laws. violate them "end game" Uphold them and victory is within your grasp. Natural physics protects it's secrets. only when we are technologically advanced enough and have an equal understanding will natural physics reveal traversing time. It will take even more understanding before natural physics reveals the method of traversing time without space.

This is a good thing as traversing time without the implications of space could be detrimental to everything that ever existed, does exist, and may exist in the future.

Ronald Mallett believes that he is going to traverse time and warn his father about an impending death in hopes of preventing it. The complication comes in if his father doesn't die as he did. Ronald Mallett wouldn't have had the desire to traverse time.

So in the event of his success mankind has lost the mechanism to traverse time. Fortunately for us that his mechanism will never traverse time. Light's algorithm simply cannot travel faster than time's algorithm. Of this i am certain.

With that said. Are We ready to be toying with time? Can the silly monkeys be responsible enough to toy with time? Not by a long shot! However fortunately for us natural physics will not reveal it till we are capable and responsible enough to toy with it.

It's a one way trip and then the mechanism has to be reconfigured for a return trip as a craft. There are many implications and many design variations. It may be possible to link mechanisms such as the sci fi series stargate. in a wormhole manner linking two mechanisms via harmonics.

You think you know time? Answer me this. Had we developed on mars would our concept of time be different? Truth is we only have a local understanding of time. Mars would also have a local understanding of time more than likely determined on the same cycles. This difference implicates a universal time and may provide the mechanism to determine the algorithm of time in a manner that is less local.

We have often considered spaceships travelling vast speeds to achieve noticeable time distortion... consider another approach: ultra rapid microscopic vibration.

The idea is to vibrate the molecular components an object nearly simultaneously very very rapidly but with only very very small spatial displacement.

Think of the wavelength associated with ultra high frequency electromagnetic radiation... I will post more later with some calculations showing the necessary components of such a manipulation of a physical system.

If anyone has any ideas, that would be great.

Per your talks of time travel.

First you must see, Time and Energy are nothing. Only Matter matters. The classic example of Space time, the classic idea of Energy, all error in light of time as a "thing."

Further more, Energy must be regarded as a construct of matter, not the other way round. I know at first this seems awkward at best, but we can all agree... solving the now massive holes in General Relativity/Quantum Studies, by means of countless dimensions where- every third rule works only on every third Sunday... is at Best, misguided.

By force of "Clear source rule", time must not be infinite in regress. (It is not possible to transverse an infinite amount of "time" to arrive at any given point in time.)

If Time therefore necessitates a non-numberless origin point, and "causality" speaks to its (for lack of a better term) "Meaning"... then what must follow is:

1. Time is a function of its Cause.
2. This Cause must be an absolute to Generate its Effect. (Effect A must be caused by Cause A. If Cause A is changed A+X, then effect A must now be effect A+X...)
3. If the Cause cannot change without "Infecting" the Effect, then Time travel (Backwards) is rendered meaningless... WHY?

The Change induced by the Time travel is now irretrievable lost in the Cause itself.

Time travel (forward) is rendered meaningless, in that an effect can never "pre-exsist" its cause.

You are/would not be "Time traveling", only experiencing Relativity on it's simplest terms.
