Look at the number of replies most people get when they start a new topic? Generally none. What is wrong with you guys, it only takes a minute or two to register, and it is fun to communicate your ideas.

No sooner does one begin to say but another tears him/her to shreds.
This is not a friendly place.

And there seem to be too many threads that are just advertising. Work out how to stop or eliminate them (but not mine please).

Get the flood control down to 15 seconds 90 seconds is far too long!

The flood control seems to be doing its job.

I disagree.

I read a comment in seconds and I want to reply. Make it that you can't submit a post till 90 seconds is up if you need some buffer there.

Think about what this forum offers. It is a little too small to function properly, and this might be that there are several other forums that seem to be broader and more effective.

One thing that is good here is that alternative ideas can be discussed. But to make it work I think we even need to treat alternative views with the approach of a moderator, moderate .. not so personal, for you are frightening off the young ones.

Who actually runs this forum . Who pays for it?

When a thread gets bigger how can you go to a page in the middle of the thread without having to open lots of pages to get there? Can you type in the destination page somewhere?
Rubberball
Good thread there Robbie, just when i thought you were against new ideas, you add this thread..

good job. dry.gif

This forum has a problem - spamming advertising. Hundreds of threads with advertising.
We can get rid of them if only the moderator would return, or we take our own action, we could set up Dummy Threads to displace the advertising off the front pages on the index. Dummy 1 - 10. and these are replenished with the same phrase until P goes away. This is similar to what Capracas tried on his own.
Any helpers?

Note the moderator has returned to the forum and bans people for a variety of reasons. So don't take it for granted that they will put up with you forever.

Since when did you have a warning? I don't remember you getting a suspension.

No I have read the various notes RPenner has left for us to read and take note of.
I do my best to be on my best behaviour at all times.

See under your name on the left side, it says "Warn: 20%?"
That's what I'm talking about.
NymphaeaAlba
Click on the 20% and tell us what it says. Okay, Robittybob? smile.gif

clicked onto it and it has "X----" so I don't know what that means. As far as I know it has been there from when I joined.

Weird. It's definitely new, I haven't seen it before today. Does it say you were warned by rpenner?

No - it was a "note" that shows when I hovered over it. Nothing came up when I clicked onto it.
Tried again this time "Warned on Mar 14 2012, 03:35 PM
Added to warn level "Responding to response to spam"

Can't even remember what that was about!
NymphaeaAlba
Hmm…is there a method to RP’s madness? I can’t quite figure him out…yet.

Has anyone else? huh.gif
AlexG
Nah. He gigged me for 'responding to spam', and unless he's talking about RealityCheck, I don't know what he's talking about.

Now the second one was either for being unkind to the mentally incontinent, or for being unkind to cheese, I'm not sure which.
