There is a series of books out by Joy Hakim. Book one was "The Story of Science: Aristotle Leads the Way", book two is "The Story of Science: Newton at the Center" and book three (soon to be released is "The Story of Science: Einstein Adds a New Dimension". She plans to write six altogether. So here is my question. I am a science teacher and really enjoyed the way this author brought science to life by sharing the stories behind the development of scientific ideas. Not only were the concepts addressed, but she tells the personal stories of the people involved. Has anyone read any of these books? If so, I'd like to know what your opinion is of them. I am thinking of using them in my science classroom next year, but would like the opinion of some of people who frequent this site. Thanks in advance. I would appreciate any honest opinions.
