By the time this accellerator's usefullness is outlived, molecular manufacturing and quantum computers will be in hand; rephrasing that . . . by the time this particle accellerator has been pushed to the limit, we and it will be living in a totally new world! This particle physics accellerator may also become the last particle accellerator of its kind as laser accellerators breakthroughs push particle physics at least up to GUT(grand unified energies . . . energies where the three fundamental quantum forces unite . . . but not quite uniting with the gravitational force)) energies. Even this latest "Large Hadron" accellerator comes nowhere close to GUT energies . . . another reason not to worry about it creating black holes that will consume the earth. . . . even the four tesla magnet of the Atlas detector will become small time compared to what they have coming whenever they build an even greater particle accellerator!
To say the least, this latest greatest human arch is getting ready to be turned on!
