There is a theory that nanotechnologies somehow discarded, could coalesce into a gelatinous blob, be able to migrate from place to place, developing an apatite for just about anything.

The problem is so far, with the release of a new cleaner in Germany which caused the people who used this cleaner in their bathrooms to develop lung damage then pneumonia, is not enough is known currently about discarded nanotechnology waste.

The evolution might occur, to where mankind is more familiar with this technology, that this material is either flushed down sewer systems, or extra barrel carelessly dumped, down a ravine somewhere, then into a watershed system.

It might be that years from this initial point of realization that nanotechnologies could be potentially harmful for mankind, gone rouge on their own, that in the future tense, that there might develop zones of discard, to where any company can dump what they want?

The developments out of this carelessness might become nightmarish in proportions.

It might be that simple creatures such as crayfish, large beetles and rodents, somehow s adopt this material into their being.

You might have stream-bed creatures, that can cut through armored cabling with their pinchers or teeth.

You might have raccoons that are equal to a tigers ability to do damage, as their teeth and claws can go through most protection that game agents would have placed upon them.

You might also have weird adaptive mechanics, to where in fiddler crab fashion, that parts of active computer logic boards, combines with normal animals, to become super-smart predators of man.

Russia has their version of a biological wasteland dump out in the middle of a contaminated lake.

You certainly would not want to swim in this lake for fear of contracting something in the way of a horrible intractable disease!

Who is to say that with the adage of familiarity breeds contempt, that zones of lethal waste, would not develop in man’s future?

Quite true there philip6. We are having to breed whole new and nanotech-enhanced species of contempt to deal with you.

Phillip, I view this in the same way that I view the idea that machines/VI interfaces might one day become self-aware and rebel against humanity. Where is the evidence needed to even begin to assume that such a scenario is even remotely possible. I haven't seen anything that suggests that it is possible for VI/AI to become free thinking and independant, have you?

This scenario is more than possible as bacteria and viruses, form their patterns, from the medias that they happen to be based in.

Anything from that point on, is a projected tree branch off, what is considered the normal platen for that particular substance.

Nanotechnologies might not always be policed in the future?

Countries such as China now also have nanotechnology manufacturing capabilities. we are not sure how these new materials manufacturing sources, will be managed abroad?

So the definite scenario of purposely dumped barrels of fine nanopodwers, through abandonment, carelessness or having to get rid of the materials, due to social pressure as an overstocked item, does exist internationally.

In the past in Russia,. one of their nuclear plant technicians simply dumped a high radioactive metal ingot, into a public lake. This act was out of frustration of what to do with this radioactive source, otherwise.

So what is to say, that in some Asian rim country, that a certain plant of industry folds, the workers are told to clean up the site and simply dump nanotechnologies powered into a streambed or other types of environments?

What is not understood with these powders, as they are so Hyperdimensionally fine, is how small animals such as crayfish, water beetles and other life forms will adapt, once they begin to inject this materials into their beings.

Say if this is a material that is used to make very tough tool parts and the materials are dumped into a streambed, it might be that some of the creature in the stream adapt to this substance as part of their environment.

The evolution of the creature utilizing this nanotechnogy materials, could become drastic, to the point that this new creature could with its claws eat through anything?

Nachos are a delicious alternative to the common side-dishes consumed by most Americans. Let's face it ... who wouldn't rather bite into a crunchy corn tortilla chip covered in a warm cheese sauce than mashed potatoes (not that I don't like mashed potatoes ... I'm just sayin). And that's just the basic dish! You can top Nachos with a wide variety of additional ingredients which all enhance their taste according to your own likes and dislikes. Perhaps you like refried beans? I gotta tell ya ... I love a good order of nachos with some refried beans added ... yum. Of course, my favorite is the ultimate Nacho set-up with seasoned ground beef, refried beans and liberally applied hot salsa (I don't like chunky salsa much so I tend to use the "saucier" varieties).

What are you favorite Nacho recipes? Do you like the creamy melted cheeses or would you rather grind and melt your own cheese? Are you a veggies-in-your-nachos person? Yikes ... personally I think lettuce RUINS anything it touches.

Grog never got to enjoy delicious nachos. Hell, unleavened bread wasn't invented until thousands of years after Grog's death. I wonder what (if anything) would have been similar for Grog? Perhaps he learned to grind a nice termite paste and bake it until it was crunchy? Then he probably could have covered that with grub guts I think. Yum ... grub guts on toasted termites!!! Sounds like pretty nice cuisine for 52,000 years ago. I'd bet he could grind up some wildebeest liver and use that like we use ground beef today. I bet he hated when little pieces of his grinding stones ended up in his "nachos". That woulda sucked big time eh?

hmm i only BROWN GOOO ON SUNDAYS@!111!!!!!!!!!!

oh oh, another unforeseen force hasinvaded the community... dry.gif

heh! It's all part of the great plan. Like a beehive.... None of the unsuspecting members of the community know what just happened as all hell breaks loose rendering the hive inundated by some internal force (*virus") that leaves everyone scrambling to preserve the remnants to once again regain harmony to thrive as one whole orderly society.
But the "infection" cannot be immediately resisted, leaving the hive devastated beyond repair.
Time passes...
Surviving communal members, who for another unknown reason escaped the infestation that altered their comrades ability to function together, have re-established a smaller but more tolerant group that rebuilds the functional hive to its once glorious cooperative state.

heh! ....until something else unforeseen invades the community and turns each upon an other...and the cycle begins again.

BigFairy, in his efforts to "clean house" has actually mis-used his tools and now has temporarily created a cloud of toxicity that we all must breath......IF you frequent the "view new posts" section....

this particlar infestation known as "BigFairy" has stirred up elements of the community that would normally take their own harmless course and remain obscure to most members....However, this "bigFairy" virus unwittingly creates a new potentially lethal mixture by combining its nefarious influence with that which would otherwise fall aside to be absorbed into the system without toxic mutations.
