Someone should check before they make a statement about being the first. Just to let you know there have been a few people who have had stem cell from there hips to repair their hearts. They where awaiting a heart transplant. Within four months their hearts showed no damage. So when they say they are the first they better check out the facts. Gee I think Adult Stem cells work.

I haven't view the topic. However With regards to `stem cells', they could be playing a part in the evolution of life on Earth. Examining the genomes of life on Earth suggests that there are certain percentages of Gene's everyone has in common with ever thing alive on the planet. Suggesting perhaps that the Gene's in common are gene's in common were evolved billions of years ago when life on earth were single celled organisms. Living being are a complex crystallization of proteins into mathematically sound anatomical parts. Certain anatomical parts of specific function within the body of whatever species of life resemble anatomical parts in other parts of the body. Perhaps evolutionary mutations occur in stem cells then somehow assemble themselves into some other body part within that species to adapt to the environmental conditions. All the DNA to crystallize whatever is contained in the stem cell. Evolution of species could be just the body's reassigning of existing DNA contained selectively to another possibility's. I doubt that evolution is based completely upon the reinventing of the wheel means, where the body of an species writes new amino acid combinations creating exotic proteins. At least it couldn't do that to perfection quickly enough to adapt to it environment. Perhaps it's analogically so to speak: taking of the shelf technology, existing gene configurations then duplicating them in another part of the DNA to give an functional adapted anatomically part within it's system.

Hormones that percuss the production of stem stells from glands within life on Earth could perhaps increase the progressive pace of evolution whilst at the same time increase the life spans of life on Earth.

That would be even an additional benefit to NS selection because it would increase in an evolutionary way the physical optical resolution of beauty evolves with life span without cretins raping their way into a quick fix (gene looting) cover-up pretending their they are something at youth when they ar'tn being proved when their lying noses grow with their age as do other boof heads hulk out of their pretty tight jeans exposing the HideE principal of callous cretins corrupting the aesthetically optically stable resolutions of friends(counties)(clans)

NPR reported on this two years ago! I'm glad they've made progress!

If people want to see what theory the researchers are working on, and don't have time to read, here's a link to the interview. (The .mp3 link is on the right)

One of the most interesting aspects of this trial is that they'll inject the cells into the hearts of people who're due for heart transplants. Then they can examine look at the treated hearts in detail once they've been removed.

Regarding the OP's statement: I'm not sure how they can examine the treated hearts in sufficient detail without removing them (which is something you don't want to do if the hearts have been returned to normal). Could you please cite your source?
