Hello, I am new here and this is my second post. I would like anyone to answer the following problem.
When a thunderstorm is approaching, sailors at sea sometimes observe a phenomenon called "St. Elmo's fire," a bluish flickering light at the tips of masts and along wet rigging. What causes this?
