Hi,

I am looking for some chemical/surfactant to specifically
adsorb on only the Si3N4 surface in a mixture of SiO2 and
Si3N4. Although the Si3N4 surface is very similar to SiO2
(with silanol groups), I am hopeful that the adsorption can
occur specifically on the amine (Si-NH) sites. Can anyone
point out to a complexing agent or a surfactant that might
do this job in an aqueous medium (pH > 9)?
I am also considering something that might adsorb
strongly to SiO2 at pH about 3.
Thanks,
Sharath
