Aspirin is used for thinning of blood.

It is claimed that there are no side effects of aspirin tablets.

If aspirin helps in thinning of blood then definitely it will prevent the clotting of blood when there is a wound.

Is it not bad side effect?

I am generally slow to respond to posts which relate to medical matters - always best to talk to your doctor. However, I have been taking aspirin for 10 years. For superficial wounds you may notice they take a little longer to stop bleeding - but not to any significant degree. On the other hand, if you ever require surgery, the surgeon will usually tell you to stay off the aspirin for a period before and after the procedure. You should also make your dentist aware of your aspirin usage.
Best advise - tell the experts and let them decide what best suits your circumstances.

Hi!

This effect is very handy, especialy for people more vulnerable to heart disease than others. Low doses are used to prevent heart attacks and blood clots (The blood becomes thinnner, and it is easier for it to slip by blockage). It works by suppressing thromboxanes. However, aspirin has plenty of bad side effects as well:
  • Heartburn
  • Gastrointestinal bleeding
  • Chronic anemia
  • Reye's Syndrome
  • Dyspepsia
  • Hearing loss (From certain compounds in aspirin tablets)

Hi Gehn,

wondering if taking aspirin in natural state - pulverized willow bark, rather than the refined state, eases any of this. This is a current issue for me since major heart disease is on both my family sides, and the 88 mg has been proven to be dramatically preventive.

the most serious side effect we must know first is gastrointestinal bleeding. it can be minimized if we avoid taking after a party (with some alcohol) and we take film-coated tablet

gmedspharmacy,
1.Are you offering medical advice?- if so, please state your qualifications.
2.Do you have a commercial interest in selling this product? - if so, please state that clearly in your posts.

Here I have also some facts about Aspirin.

What are the aspirin side effects?

It's important to realize that aspirin is a drug, just like other over-the-counter and prescription medications. It is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, or NSAID. As such, there are definitely adverse reactions to contend with.

Some of the most common aspirin side effects are stomach pain, heart burn, nausea and vomiting. An aspirin overdose or higher dosage than recommended can cause very serious health issues.

With short-term use for specific problems, aspirin has been shown to be effective and does not present significant health risks. However, long-term use can lead to many problems.

It is one of the leading causes of gastrointestinal tract complications, including micro-bleeding and ulcers. There is also a small but very serious risk of hemorrhagic stroke.

My understanding is that it can cause uric acid to precipitate out of your blood.

All I know for sure is the last time I took Aspirin was when I took it during my first gout attack. Which I didn't know was gout at the time.
And it most certainly didn't help anything. ohmy.gif

For gout you need an anti-inflammatory - like Difene - works quickly and effectively, which is precisely what you want in the circumstances !! Hope it´s better
