I"m going to where the organs are. I could care less where it came from. If I can afford it, and I NEED it to LIVE -- it could be from an execution, or anybody else, as far as I"m concerend. And considering that I *MIGHT* need a liver transplant in the future (diabetes complications) this is DEFINATLY an option for me.

Wow this is a new attitude.. NOT. If you really dont care where the organs come from why not have kids, you could just take their organs.. who cares if they die for you, you wouldn't as long as you are sucking air who gives a damn.. it would seem you are the most important one of all.

So that is your point. Why live if you're gonna die? Why care if these are all bullsh*ts??

Then here is my answer to you:

Why post your problem here if you won't allow it to be your problem in the first place??!!!

I mean, c'mon!! You care about your life! Because if not, you'll probably be dead at this moment. You probably have committed suicide a while ago. But hey, you're still breathing.

I wounder if his opinion would change if it was one of his loved ones that was getting their organs harvested against their will, and sold to the highest bidder to the person who stole them.

Wow... call me weird, but when I die my body is up for grabs. If there is anything useful to anybody they are welcome to it. (No warranty - explicit or implied.)

Just make sure I am dead first... and uh, please don't kill me because you want my liver.

Stem cell research and regenerative medicine research - if it's supported, will allow us to get off of this 'transplantation from donors' kick we've been in lately.

Political support for stem cell research would be logical if your eventual goal is to have replacement organs available.

Politics + logic = spontaneous combustion

A friend of mine had a heart transplant 15 years ago and is in perfect health today. He does have to be careful of germs as the rejection drugs lowers his immune system. When the issue of tissue rejection can be resolved then we could harvest healthy hearts and organs from many different species.

And it's only a matter of time before we can grow livers from a persons own DNA as livers regenerate.
Archer
I think organ growth and/or regeneration will be most viable of all solutions.. it will also end the problems associated with rejection.. there are to many detractors of donated organs.

Do any of you really think this is a problem for the future? when you have desamated this planet and the sea rises above all land you could need different organs.

WOW.. were can we find out more about this?? the whole planet is going to flood? where is all the water going to come from?

Ah yes, another problem to blame on the American government... yipee! It really is their fault. I believe i mentioned in the thread about the exhibit with human cadavars that, unlike America which only takes the organs of dead people that have made it clear that they wnat to be a donor, some countries (i forget who but i know some asian country does it. S. Korea or maybe Taiwan or maybe someone else) take the organs of everyone who has not made it clear that they do not wish to be a donor. Unfortunatly, the American government is full of idiots and fundamentalists who would never allow this to happen.

and if anyone is curious, yes i was born in America, i live here and i was raised here.

I honestly cannot see why you would care what becomes of your body after death. I'm with gmilam on this one. Take whatever the hell you need once I'm gone! Just don't hasten my leaving because of this! unsure.gif

Please disregard all the negative texts they merely do not understand your context...not as I do. I think you are only saying that you value your life... and one has to be... blasted for this, anymore? I find this to be...very un-cool.

I want to suggest that you check into collodial gold and silver as a method of recovery. I have found it an interesting suggestion for optimum health and the site i found had an amazing testimonial library, to the effects upon people with some health problems of similar vibrations to yours. Of the liver and such. Colloids.

I will look for the site in a bit, and come back here with a link, if I find it today.
They are new cures, it seems. i plan to buy some very soon myself.

Peace.

Yet, are they going to be allowed to grow parts for us ? What do you think ?

To get back to the source article, they didn't mention at all if the Chinese are screening for the presence of HIV, known to exist in China. Get an organ, get HIV. Not a very viable option.

Or lets not.... biggrin.gif

In my more prophetic moments an explosion (massive) was FAR more likely to cause the end of man. (not that i have any worry any longer...I still have faith that man will come to grips with the problems and repair them)

But I will say there is a huge need for more boats...( think katrina) and that some roads will be more like rivers, than many suppose, in some arrogence/innocense.

I suggest an investment in both a good speed boat and a Harley, or even better an off road sort of bike, which can leap tall gorges in a single bound.

If not because it is the end then, because it is the beginning. biggrin.gif

Some decades ago, Larry Niven wrote about "organleggers" in "The Long Arm of Gil Hamilton" and other futuristic stories. People who would kill others for their healthy organs. There have been many other stories about the stealing and selling of organs since, mimiced in the real world.

The definition of "dead" is still a little fuzzy and the doctors want those organs ASAP. If they make a mistake and take them from someone living, who is going to complain? Certainly not the now dead donor.

Listen to me.

Do not drink milk anymore. Milk and Diary association spends billions to promote it, and its industry.
Mothers breast milk is the only milk humans need to about age 1.

'Cows' milk is for cows only. It is literally anathema to the human body.
You can get calcium from vegetables.

You must eat dark fruits and vegetables(they have more 'Light' nutrient).

Eliminate all un-natural foods from your diet, and eat a lime a day(or lime juice concentrate).
The idea is to bust open the calcium channels and allow them to operate efficiently.

Lime is in the Lime-Stone beds of the Earth.
*Research this 'geologic' reference, and you will understand my comments as to why I say that Lime 'busts open' the calcium channels.

*Your neuro-electrical signaling, needs pure calcium channel operations, and not one that is 'sub-standard' from eating badly.

*Besides, if you have a cold or virus(or flu), you do not want milk, fried foods, or much meat in your diet.

Go Vegetarian, and stop eating 'flesh' that is 'dead'.
If you saw the real true color of dead meat(before preservatives), you'd be ill.
=============

You should 'worry about future generations' that will bear the 'fruits' in pain and sorrow for Gene Vaccinees, and other things that we only look at for 'today', and not tomorrow.
It is the 2nd Generation that will suffer the sins of the fathers and mothers; and for thousands of years afterward too

Imagination:
Sound points, most of them. The only one I take issue with is the last one. I fail to see how you can advocate vegetarianism, especially given that our digestive tracts are designed to deal with meat along with the vegetables. I agree that most of the meat availible, such as that packaged crap is indeed crap, but if you limit your intake to good meat, like quality steaks every once in a while, you will be much better off. Most people don't realize how much meat they actually need in their diet, and eat a ridiculously large amount, because society tells them that is okay. I also know for a fact that vegetarinism is NOT the healthiest option out there for a lot of individuals. Personally, I spend a lot of hours of the week running and rockclimbing, not to mention mountain/trail biking. It is not possible for me to acquire the protein I need from non-meat sources. I know a lot of people may argue you don't actually 'need' that protein... but I prefer to have a well developed muscle system, capable of standing up to prolonged and intense activity. Vegetables are necessary for this, but not by themselves.
The fact does remain though, that damn near all of the meat availible for consumption is pretty nasty, when you consider what goes into it to preserve it and make it presentable. Visit your butcher for a couple of nice steaks a week. And NOT the ridiculously large ones... couple of 8-12oz steaks a week is great for any healthy, physically active individual.

Recently stem cells were injected into the damaged heart of a middle aged man and did so well at repairing the damage that he is now leading a relatively normal life. Surely better to repair what we have than replace it, and take rejection drugs for the rest of our lives?
tikay
Hi DiamondJim, do you have a link to this information, the stem cell medical experiment? I would like to read it! Thanks...
