sounds like something that could be a bolster to the gaming market if applied correctly, but will probably fail due to poor implementation and general lack of support from game publishers as has been seen time and time again with developing technologies. Most publishers are fine with crippling game playability just so they can include gimmicky hardware and market to early adopters. Reminds me of other great failures ala the NES Power Glove, that cute little NES robot that didn't really do anything, and the Virtual Boy.

If you like this sort of stuff and don't mind doing the work yourself, check out the OpenEEG project, an open-source EEG project you can build yourself (or buy preassembled if you prefer). I have one and find it to be a fascinating project. It would be interesting to integrate it with Dasher, a non-keyboard alternative text input application.
