Why M13? Why this particular globular cluster to send message of humanity?
above all other possibilities...? skywords?
Zapper
Im not sure really. Its a bit like watching 'Contact' by Jodie Foster all over again - perhaps that cluster has a planet that looks like Earth.
I wouldve thought that scientists or astrophysicists would have broadcasted all over the universe, not just one particular location, in the hope that someone will respond.

thank you Zapper, your my first contact on this site... seems LOTS of money, time and attention spent on a so far fruitless search. Distraction, disinformation...?
especially when a radio reply is expected from an advanced civiliation when they most likely would use and could use a higher technology (telepathic beam) and should be expected to do so... nearly thirty years now and no further word? Seti does not answer my question...wonder why? very strange. Look straight up...Vega (Contact - star system) sits right abaove your head, next to Cygnus.
M13 sits to right of Vega in the Hercules constellation, under right "arm" one quarter of the way down on right side of "Keyhole"... and with all those ships by the sun, (see www. weatherwars.info) for introduction to a secret surprise) who are we (they-SETI) kidding and why? Been able to see those guys at the sun for many years, ( NASA Soho Latest images) blowes the cover off someone, i'd say...
too much silence bought for too much money... see for yourself, then get back to me...

Zapper
Im not sure if disinformation is a possibility.

im not sure what youre on about and can u elaborate on that? I have looked at Bearden's claim on tesla technology and looked at his books - theyre all covered with jargon which makes me want to stop reading his claims. However what he says on the current physics model is true - I have known since i started physics at school since i knew that despite its 'advancements' ie QM, SR, etc all do not directly clear up the confusion of questions of physics.
In response to your little spacecraft in the SOHO pictures its a possibility that onwards from the first world war, technology may have been improved since military looked at tesla's patents and his work on scalar waves (so called Radiant Energy http://educate-yourself.org/fe/radiantenergystory.shtml), ufo patent(patent no 1655113), etc. Despite this im still doubtful of the UFO claims because ive never seem one, and if theyre flying around all over the place it makes me wonder why no-ones really informed the media on a broadcast level. Its all a bit suspicious really.

"...Our poor Earth based scientists, who really could use an open mind about the vastness of the universe, with the attendant unlimited potential that is its foundation...their small sandboxes that their heads are stuck so deeply in will not offer much protection from the changes that will finally wash over humanity as we quickly mature into a fully spiritual and space going race..." (http://www.weatherwars.info/soho284_2.htm) That could outline the reasons why science really hasnt progressed much since the last 50yrs or so. And why Tesla is constantly being ignored from the history of the western world (including Australia).
Even we cant answer what gravity really is....

i quote Frank Drake:
You want to know why M13? I’ll give you the answer… The idea of sending a message grew about because we had just spent many millions of dollars upgrading the Aricebo Telescope, and we were holding a very elegant ceremony to dedicate the upgraded telescope. And this ceremony was to occur on November 16th at 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon, and as a way to just do something quite spectacular we decided, “well, let’s send a message”. Because we had a new radar transmitter which allowed us to send the most powerful message ever sent from earth to this day. “So, OK we’re gonna send a message; we’re gonna do it a 1:00 in the afternoon. Where can we point the telescope? Where the message will go to some place, where there are a lot of stars, and maybe creatures?” So I got out the star charts and looked, and found out that within the limited aiming range of the Aricebo Telescope—the Aricebo Telescope can’t look everywhere, it can only look at a limited area--- within the aiming range at 1:00 in the afternoon on November 16th, the most promising object was Messier 13. And that’s why it was selected.

Uhh... with all due respect, are you on crack?
