I read an early post that was debating reincarnation, and I am intrigued by a thought that I had about it. So, sorry if this is redundant but that post seems to be dated.
Here is my thought:

Suppose we acquire the means to perfectly preserve someone, in a cryogenic stasis if you will, immediately after the point of clinical death. Now suppose that this technology has coincidentally been developed at the same time that we can bring someone back from the point of clinical death.

Would this seem to rule out the possibility of reincarnation? After all, the ability to bring someone back from death seems to suggest that they were unable to reincarnate. The only other possibility would mean that a person indeed has a soul and that the soul was able to reincarnate during cryogenic stasis. However, if the soul is incarnate when the person is brought out of stasis and revived, now what happens? This seems to have created a paradox. A soul cannot be in two places at the same time!
