Despite the fact that earth scientists understand the mechanism by which earthquakes can take place, they are losing faith in their ability to predict such disasters.

Glorious Qur'an emphasizes the fact that nothing happens in the universe without the knowledge, will and wisdom of the Creator. [Moderator: If you believe that to be true, then logic demands that you must believe that it is the will of the Creator that you are now banned for making unsupported authoritarian claims and not engaging in scientific discussion.

No-one has ever claimed such an ability.

No-one has ever claimed such an ability.

But they have been seeking that ability.

So?

So?

Well when you introduce the idea that they are seeking the ability to predict earthquakes "Despite the fact that earth scientists understand the mechanism by which earthquakes can take place, they are losing faith in their ability to (ever) predict such disasters" doesn't sound so improbable.

So that is that.

The OP is implying that scientists are currently able to predict Earthquakes.

Well I hadn't read the whole thing but I still read it slightly different.
We get lots of earthquakes in NZ and it isn't because we are wicked (yeah right!).

NZ has earth quakes because it's geologically active and there mean to there sheep.lol
I think the reason geologists can't predict earth quakes yet is that at this point there working blind
It's not that complicated once you know where the most pressure is building up.
I saw an article recently where they were drilling and placing probes deep in fault zones of the cost of Japan. Unless that is done around the world it would be impossible to acuratly predict earth quakes.
