hi all,

potted history.....

god made everything,

or

universe is infinite and was always there,

or

universe is expanding and started from nothing.....

Is this really the best we can come up with? OK so i don't have the big answer either, but look, what is absolutely clear is that future generations are going to judge us like the flat earthers and geocentrics of the past.

Its time to go back over the evidence and try to get common sense factored into some of the equations. Somewhere round the time of Hubble's Law the story goes a bit skewy. Then Lamaitre says...ipso facto, its the creation again but in scientific clothes. At this point we've come back to the middle of the maze but still have'nt found a way out.

What's wrong with putting full stops in after verified evidence, the givens, and saying beyond these points it's anybody's guess, would you like to have a try?

Just my mood tonight,
kinley

Hi,

As far as I can tell no one knows for sure the following:

If the big bang actually happened.

If the universe is finite or infinite.

If the universe is actually expanding.

The present theories posit answers to these questions but there are other theories out of the mainstream with give differing points of view.
