Finding the source of E. Colli in food crops coming out of California may not be as hard as it might first seem. The migrant workers, even though they are provided with porta potties in the fields, often don't want to take time out of their harvesting, as they get paid by how much they harvest, not on the time spent on the job. Ergo, many of them will simply defecate in the fields where they work and keep on working. And, as we should all know, fecal matter is the primary source of E. Colli. End of story.
