Whatever way you want to handle it, you shall get it with Nokia's 888 concept phone. Nokia 888's design defies all the odds making it possible for users to bend it, clip it, roll it in whatever form that suits them.

This concept phone recently won a Nokia award at the Benelux design contest. Nokia's designers have hardly left consumers indifferent with their trademark designs. Yanko Design has helped Nokia shape a new vision of what it now believes its next generation phone could look like.

The lightweight Nokia 888 also leaves users with the option of strapping it around their wrists like a bracelet. Among other distinctive features, the new concept phone includes an alarm clock, liquid battery, GPS, touch screen, phone, push email receiver, PDA, digital wallet and jewelry.

Although it is not yet available in the market. A video of this product gives us the feeling all we need to do is wait and see this concept device transformed into reality. [video is available at designawards.be, I cannot give a direct link, because it's in flash]

MaX... Seeks the Truth
This phone looks so awsome... its so great to be true. By the way, can you actually prove it exists!!! I mean i searched nokia.com and there was nothing about Nokia 888. On the other hand, sites like <http://www.designawards.be/> and <http://www.nec-design.co.jp/showcase/index.html> don't seem to be make by real companies. The typical "All Rights Reserved" statement is not found, as in <www.nokia.com> or even <http://www.nec.co.jp/> which is linked from <www.nec-design.co.jp> which i think is a fake site!!

All this may not seem convincing....right. Know this... the pictures above are screen shots <http://www.thehyperblue.com/testdata/nokia888.designawards2005.winner.zip> which is definitely a clip with some 3D graphics modeling(unless this mobile phone can actually jump! ohmy.gif ), and again there is no copyrights statement or whatever....instead the name of some one, probably who make the whole thing!!!

This seems to be a hoax after all doesn' it tongue.gif

It looks great and would be great to have but there are some things they need to clear up before passing this:

a) Where would the SIM Card go? it doesnt seem to have a slot for it let alone the battery, unless its for the CDMA Network.

cool.gif Where are the numbers? How can you call?

I still dont believe it exists. Concept yes! Real? No
mangaeva
It has touch screen man. Thats how you could call. And i do believe that it exists. There are lot of things we dont know about believe me. Cause it would be a too big step for humanity to get those things in public and i think it needs lot of tests too.
