l700mw green laser pointer from llp is more cheap than warnlaser's.

Something specifically and especially true about green lasers is that the cheap ones can be a real disappointment. They work on the process of frequency-doubling an IR laser diode's output. If the frequency-doubler isn't properly heat-sinked, the doubler element burns out after a few minutes' playing with it. The cheap one starts out blazing bright and you can watch it get dimmer and dimmer by the second.

The other thing is that the laser power output may be measured as 100mW, but only 20mW is in the green, the rest is still 1.06micron IR.

Bottom line: Be ready to spend the $$$ if you want a really good one (or recognize that it's just a toy and enjoy it while it lasts).

You get the point on IR. 'cheap‘ lasers are everywhere. They intermingled with the quality ones. I tested several 200mw green lasers last year, some are not ir filtered, some are underpowered, while some sucks in stability. The Toplaser 200mw green laser at LaserPointerPen.Net is rly a high-end one, >200mw in average power rather than peak power, and pure ir filter 532nm.

Any laser user needs watch out for eye damage, coz the ir or even 532nm laser beam will injury more than your retina. Certainly that's why most people would like to buy the ir filtered green lasers, coz they're at least assured that their eyes are safety if they wear the laser goggles for 532nm green laser beam. I recommend LASERPOINTERPEN.NET not only coz they provide the ir filtered 200mw green laser, but also coz they provide the high-end goggles for free. I hope every laser sell need to learn it, and just do the best to protect the eyes of your customers. 700mw green laser is too dangerous, no matter it's ir filtered or not. We also need know that the intensity of pure 532nm beam can be more dangerous than any hyped ir power.

Use it with care and THE UNPROTECTED HUMAN EYE is extremely sensitive to laser radiation and can be permanently damaged from direct or reflected beams...

Now I prefer xenon hid flashlight torch to high power lasers, lol
