Hello. The fact cancer is mutational, a body working against itself, as if it is its own entity is peculiar. Its ability to mutate due to precursors or environmental stimulus, starting with a catalyst or spark, in such a way as to make the body as a whole unable to control it or change it. It does appear the body works off a sequence of codes. Stimulate or in act a certain sequence you get a ratio of results. Now I have no idea how one would stimulate those sequences or what those results would be. I do not know how one would reach those conclusions without drastic experimentation, hence no one wants to be a guinnypig.

Maybe you can show the connection between cancer cells and the various ways used to stop them.

I often read that certain things are linked to cancer, but I assume these are always discovered through statistical correlation, and then a theory is developed to explain the link.
Better science starts with theory and then does research to see if hypotheses are supported, but rarely do I read mechanical biological explanations for cells mutate into various cancers.
I have heard viruses are involved or radiation or chemicals can stimulate genetic mutation.
I have also heard that various factors can prevent cancer, such as healthy diet, regular exercise, vitamin A, etc.
I think you just examine some factors that are believed to be carcinogenic or cancer-preventing and examine or theorize the mechanics of how these things affect cells which would cause them to become cancerous or resist doing so.
That's my vote, anyway.

You might do some research on metalloproteinase inhibitor complexes, TIMP-1 and TIMP-2, which allow metastatic cells to invade the basement membrane and escape detection while they do their dirty work.
It could get complicated.

Well its very interesting suggestion you have asked. I would suggest you to write essay on PROTISTOLOGY . Its very current and interesting topic.
Also i would give you some more authentic topics choice:
1) The history of plastids
2) The fate of mitochondria in amitochondriate eukaryotes
3) The history of plastids in alveolates
4) Evolutionary significance of nucleomorphs
5) Protists and the species concept
6) Many roads towards multicellularity
