I am doing a project in school that requires a IR temperature sensor with a field of view of about 10 degrees. Unfortunately I can only find ones with a FOV of > 90 degrees. I was thinking of getting something to put over it like a copper pipe with a smaller hole at the end, but I think that would effect the temperature reading. Would it? Is there IR reflecting paint I should paint the copper with?
