What happens when one combines a colony of nano matter, that is similar size to a human cell, with human cells in the body?

Which is dominant the human host cells or the nanocoloney?

Does the nanocoloney infiltrates its characteristics into the human cell growth, or does the body, since it is larger, regulate the nanocoloney?
