Hi, Trying to find an equation to calculate the height of a stone (0.62kg) which is thrown at 5.5ms and whose minimum kinetic energy, at the top of the arc, is 2.3J. Any advice gratefully received.

Hi Macg73

Welcome to Physorg forums.

Hmmm, Kinetic energy is motion parallel to surface. Total energy is mass times velocity. Potential energy is distance above ground. Should be enough clues.
