End Tax Loopholes for Millionaire Ministers

I don’t understand this. I thought that tax exemptions had to be available to everyone and not just religious groups. Do all religious organizations do charitable work that is going to benefit the public? So, is this constitutional because it’s not considered a subsidy since they’re not getting taxpayer money just that the government refrains from taking money from them?

Damn! Maybe I’ll rethink this whole God thing…$$$

Holy smokes! blink.gif If you can't beat them, join them.

America is one of the most religious developed countries in the world, who know the least about religion.

Perhaps, us atheists are not as smart as we think.

Now, where did I put my babble. happy.gif

Nah.

Indeed we don't even know if people like Joyce aren't Athiests, and I do have my suspicions about that.

What we do know though, is none of their money came from Athiests.

Which in my book is clear proof who is smarter.

Arthur: None of their money came from me, either. Seems like a draw.

Good on you for not contributing to these charlatans.

But clearly there are many gullible "believers" out there.

Arthur: Just as the Bible warned that there would be.

"But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damanable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you..." (II Peter 2:1-3)

Just one of many such warnings.

Can atheist organisations also claim tax free benefits in the US if they are seen to do charitable work?
