Einstein showed that a two dimensional flat plane distorts to an additional 3rd dimension by gravity. Without mass the plane is just two dimensional but with mass an additional dimension is created. The one we live in. Could excessive mass open a window to a new dimension?

Actually he showed how our four dimensional spacetime is curved.

A rubber membrane with a bowling ball resting on it would still be flat without the Earth's gravity pulling down on the bowling ball. But, it does demonstrate a distortion of the rubber membrane by gravity which creates a new 3rd dimension. Could additional mass and gravity create additional dimensions?

The dimension is not added, nor open, its bended ;-)
There are no other dimensions other then you perceive yourself already.
