House Minority Leader Lawrence F. Cafero Jr., R-Norwalk, pictured standing, far right, speaks while colleagues Rep. Barbara Lambert, D-Milford and Rep. Jack F. Hennessy, D-Bridgeport, play solitaire Monday night as the House convened to vote on a new budget. (AP)

The guy sitting in the row in front of these two... he's on Facebook, and the guy behind Hennessy is checking out the baseball scores.

These are the folks that couldn’t get the budget out by Oct. 1, Seriously!!!
So, we got a 30 day budget extension. Well, guess what, 30 days later we will be in the same boat. And these yo-yo’s will still be playing solitare!!!

How is everyone doing?

Hi tikay! Thank you for sharing.

As is such, I don't analyze or trust people's claims to motive, I only see the actions. I think that by and large, people don't really know why they do a lot of things, they just have a 'feeling' that pushes them one way or another and then they justify it with morality often after-the-fact.

The US Congress, last I checked, does not allow laptops on the floor. It may be a violation of Senate rules to use a Blackberry.

Thank You rpenner!

I don't think this is what Thomas Jefferson had in mind~

Whats the deal with the massive slide into human corruption, or has it always been like this?

http://michellemalkin.com/2009/11/13/cold-...e-body-politic/

Where is the human sense, in so many people, to responsible behavior?
What has become of the ideal of delaying gratification, even if it means good honest "hard work", and what has happened to the need for satisfaction coming from being a morally upstanding person, with so many?
