Just wondering imo it seems that the best route to go would be with word logic because it would be more easly understood by the majority thus getting you more discussion about your belief on how subject xyz should work does work ect...

I realize I do have a bias because I do not know the symbles for higher math. I dont really have the brain for math because I build concepts in my mind rather then build fact in it. I realize this has a huge down side as I will probably go crazy when im older when I start to lose some brain cells that hold the concept of gravity ect smile.gif but then again im already crazy so no big loss lol.

Although I do realize that the need for a math backing on a subject is important.

I think this could help clear up some of the problems people are having debating on this site. Or it could make it worse who knows...

What are the benefits iyo to useing maths over word logic or vise versa?

What are your feelings when someone talks in a form you do not understand?

This is a good question. I'm more of a concept person. Give me the 50,000 foot overview, let me see the idea... and then I can start to fill in the details. Analogies can be quite useful in explaining things to me.

Not to mention that I have never had any math higher than basic college algebra and geometry. So, while I understand the importance of the math needing to work... most of it is lost on me.

Well here the thing with that. Is there any difference?

I could say it as "One plus One equals Two" or I can show it as a statement " 1 + 1 = 2". Does me saying it (expressing it in words) mean that it is wrong while showing the statement mean it's right?

I think the difference is in how the people you intend to view your topic will percieve it. Altho you cant guess how everyone thinks about maths and words you can guess on a basis of what the norm is be that a wrong guess or not. Perhaps I should have made this a poll to see if people like to be talked to in higher math terms or in all be it much longer... words.

the example you gave was very simple but if you did that useing much more advanced math symbles I bet more then 2/3rds of your intended audiance is lost and just goes back to a place where they can understand. Even tho your logic based on maths may be more accurate key word being might be...
