What would you do, if you had encountered a race, similar to the fictional Borgs?

This thread was original for Uaafanboq for dirtying my thread on the Ares launch views. I was going to give him a challenge question, but reiterated to a philosophical question for all.

I cant get a straight logical answer on the question, { if the universe is past mid point in its age and is going into said by Cal Berkeley astronomer to probably being going into the big cool down, then how would this factor of dark matter push, affect bio-sentients within the known universe}?

This means if the astronomer is correct, then we’re going to change along with what we know as the universe.

So for this challenge question, you should watch the Star Trek Enterprise series, on the discovery of the Borg within this series.

I have chosen the is one early episode and no other, as in the era that this series is based in, similar to people here now, they don’t know an awful lot about aliens.

This is something that we’re walking right smack dab into.

I don’t want it heard by some military leader, “They knew our moves before we made them. There was no way to stop them. And the people that they had captured we saw, worked for them and were no longer our people.

Wars are always unpopular. However carefully look at the trails for signs and you might be able to figure out where your opposition is going to be next?

The question is, since it said that there are probably three, not just one cyborg alien to come this way, what are their advantages over us and could we compete?

This is an open invitation, so use your imagination a little, as in a predicted short amount of time, our society might be right in the middle of something that we hadn’t planned for?

Thank you

Two sub notes: When Albert Einstein first came to America, on that ship he was interviewed on, he said, “Boy’ I’d sure like to get to know you”!

What I think that he was saying, is that from all that he had heard about America, he would sure like to get to know more about it.

Two, a board member here, said the term, expansion of the hyper sphere, in relation to any claim about the status of the universe.

This guy disserves both a cookie and a pat on the back.

Here’s a little help.

The gray goo scenario in nanotechnology, would probably occur, if this were gross abandoned industrial waste, tossed out in a public stream or sewer system.

Animals could adapt parts of nanotechnology into themselves, say if it were either water bugs or variants of water born scorpids in that water system.

In nanotechnology, you can imbue with a mainframe boss, a set of instructions sent to a group swarm of nanobots. But know, that if nanotechnology, as opposed to a larger implant is introduced into an organism, from an insect, all they way to the complexity of a man, depending upon the social set, both the nanotechnology would accepted or rejected depending upon the social background.

This given is for starters.

On oversight, two instances.

Look at the National Geographic foldout of the size of General George Custer’s expeditionary force and the size of the village that he was going to ride on?

If anyone with half sense looks at this illustration, they would be saying, “Oh my, what did that idiot have in mind when he was riding on them”!..?

Second look at the military history of the Vietnam War and how good the North Vietnamese Army was.

They were litter in physical stature, but they were very good soldiers.

The combined opposite interdiction force, was told that they were pushovers.

These are two real good examples of oversight.

I apologize here, as I am not trying to stir up any controversy.

Combine these two factors, with standing back maybe a little and you will see what I’m trying to say?

Thanks

Relative sphere of light influence.

In the Discovery special, Universe, the narrators say that the Hubble Deep Field View of Thirteen billion light years, may be only an arbitrary view point.
Additionally that if you were able to go to those Hubble Deep Filed objects and look in the opposite direction that Earth viewers are looking at, that you might be able to see another thirteen billion light years in distance.

This say breaks the held mold that thirteen billions of light years is the furthers that we can see.
Again, this also states that like the fight Mohamed Ali, that scientist are now trying to slide off the punch statement, that our universe is only thirteen billions of years in age.

Nice one. I could not have slid off a better placed punch myself.

This leads back to the statement, how old is the universe and is this a mid point in time?

Okay, at the point of being a real pain in the arse, is there again a biological link between the cooling down process, if we are indeed in this grouping or relative time and space into that and will this effect overall societies, if there are extraterrestrial societies proven?

I am a pain in the arse, sorry.

We could look at the views that other societies that are more cyborg than us and their social views, as compared to ours?

A society that is more insect like, might say about Earthlings of the 50s 60s and 1970s, is all they did was biological socially posture, went to dance clubs, partook of illegal substances, sometimes.

These cyborg societies might say, Earthlings totally wasted their time and never prepared for the coming cold.

So you now have a social view that is other, than what your use to.

With the invention of the personal computer, the PDA or electronic palm organizer and cell phone computer combinations, the 80s, 90s and early 2000enders, turned into something known as a work-a-holic.

However as an overall society, were we doing enough to prepare for the chill down, if this was to come?

The writers Roddenberrys, came up with a supposedly fictitious figure, known as the Borgs.

These beings were once cellular-like communicative society of living creatures. However, became infected with a highly aggressive nano-micro-robot, which had turned them into a hive mind.

Roddenberrys go onto make one other group, The Bi-nars, who are a linked group society, but also beneficial and approachable.

We have one part of the equation, which is the said of a cyborg octaped off world race in the book The Field Guide To Extraterrestrials by Huygens. But not enough is known about this type of cyborg, nor its aims?

The question should loom, is this type of being approachable? Would it have you as a guest within their society to show good will without hurting a human fellow or gal. Lastly what would be the aims of a said and drawn Octaped Cyborg, such as this?

Is a proposed military conquest of Earth, by these said cyborgs, at all, have to do with the big chill down?

I think that this particular edition of Universe, (Light Speed), is very important, as the scientific establishment gives a little bit, in order to make an idea of cosmological reference a little more relevant.

This is a very important concession, if your going to try to estimate the age of the action of the universe, that you the observer is in?

Thank you

The Cold Station Parable:

There were attempts after scientist noticed that people after world war two, were starting to grow taller, stronger and it seemed more adept in many other traits composing a human being.

It was the German philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche that extolled a perfect mind and a perfect body, would then lead to a more perfect human being, which within this factor, would bump evolution.

It had seemed by reports in the early 1980s, that both America and mainland China were proposing, maybe even experimenting on selective breeding, of choiced military peoples, to produce the prototypical super warrior.

This in a measure, was purposely trying to bump the process of personal evolution, but to a divisive desired end result.

What is written in the Star Trek novels, is that world war three does occur. And these super human beings, in their regimentation to make a more superior society, regardless of race kin or creed, start to produce in a eugenics program, super extraordinary people.

The war commences, these people come out of anonymity, so squaring off against the more normal people as it were.

By sheer luck, the normal people win, however a remote breeding laboratory, deep in space, known as Cold Station, host a collection of these beings placed in an embryonic state.

In years to come a star ship captain, by the name of James T. Kirk stumbles upon a planet. Alpha Ceti 6. This stumbeling right into the hands of a legendary master ruler, of these races, by the name of Khan.

Khan as the story line goes, hijacks a star ship, but does not possess the ability to strategically think in reference to more that one dimension at a time and looses a battle against James Kirk.

The reference of a super body and a super mind are given in the Nietzsche trieste, which extol some late followings in the body building sects of the seventies and 1980s. Some said, under a certain group leader who then once more extolled the virtues that a perfect mind and perfect body would bump evolution.

This series is quite interesting, as the situation touches on what this current world is going into.

This is reengineering of the human body and how its made, as some also want these goals.

This is another shadow efficacy of the future of mankind, that also looms as a story to how mankind within the future tense might turn out?

What the eugenics war was about.

This is a possibility, so we have to touch upon this.
What the rich and powerful had wanted, simply because they could afford this, were new organs, replacements for worn out parts.

So there was already a demand for a push in the overall genetic sciences, to bend the envelope, to the point where anyone could get the body part replacements that they wanted, if they had the funds.

There were considerations placed on the perils of in-cellular genetic memories, to where say a murderer who was executed in another country and had his organs removed for implantation in another country, that the memories held within that organ’s cell’s could turn the recipient into a murderer too.

Every action to this point in time, was based towards the profits that this would reap, and who would benefit.

The other areas under development was organs grown in media, which was less risky, however again it was the rejection factors that has to be overcome.

They did this by inserting a father gene cell into the bland media which had housed the organ to be implanted suspended in a growth media bath.

The two ends, the hidden purposeful breeding of two likely candidates, to produce a human that was superior in many ways over an average human, had not met ends as of yet.

*An example would be a famous general who was brilliant at what he did, could accomplish, however had bad public reactions skills. So the goal might be to mate the like of someone very charming, but who also had certain other skills, that would have made them more passable in that area of question.

The idea was to produce a being that was so physically and mentally superior, that they could win any campaign posed to them as a task.

The considerations that were not given are, that in reference to Mendel the geneticist and the Mendellion wave, to where traits in a breeding line can submerge, then reappear at a much later date, is that even a poll of near perfect people, left to the true design of a nature, would in time, have a bought of people born into them, that would either be marginal, or have some way hidden genetic defect.

The second part of the problem of producing near perfect people, would be in the social setting that normal people found themselves as opposed to super people, the super people might develop a natural want to completely eliminate the normal people.

There is very strong intimation that in the near realm of supposed near to Earth space, that many beings who weren’t citizens of Earth, had been producing members of their kind, with little or no genetic defects, so that their societies could enjoy a less fettered with trouble, existence.

If you go to the very first episode of (Cold Station), which is a Star Trek Enterprise series episode, you will find that the creator of the Augments, who were specially designed people used in world war three, has the uncanny ability to design and create, just as a master creator would in nature’s biology’s own natural ruse.

He can at will, almost cancel out most of the genetic imperfections, however does admit that he’s pushing some aspects of imperfection to the counter top wayside, in order to accomplish this task.

The embarrassment of the actual Cold Station, is that one lonely Augment humanoid is left, who on the outer surface resembles an Augment, but has a meeker personality, about him.

What this more mundane person is, is the indication of nature’s own hand in biology, saying, “You must at times, play by the rules”!

What is not known in the foreground, as so many now in the astrophysics communities are wary of the big chill down probability, is how to probably deal with this equation.

Does this equation affect our personal biologies and if so, to what extent?

So you see you have two definite trends flowing either along, or too a central stream.
One, is the semi-insect-like behaviors as held with cyborgs, proposed in a wide variance of car-tages’.

The other is the probable Earth held or maybe even expressed as the near Earth in space held belief, that genetic engineering makes a general existence, less fettered.

In time in this series, the creator of the Augments descendants go onto create and android, that functions out of the biological range.
