If 6,000 motors that can fit on the head of a pin is a major accomplishment, then 10
million transistors occupying the same space seems much more impressive if true.

If an acceptable definition of a motor is "A machine that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy; (Source: Ergon Energy for definition of motor)(Google gives them the second position when you type in "define:motor")
Then I don't see what is so impressive about the nano motors?
Am I missing something?

Yes you are missing something.
Firstly. neither of your examples is nanotechnology. No where near small enough.
Second. a motor requires moving parts, transistors do not. Motors require a fairly complex 3D structure, transistors have a very few distinct layers. Producing such small 3D structures is not simple.
Third. The microelectronis industry has had 30-40 years of development and research. Microengineering is fairly new. So the state of the art of each technology can't be compared fairly.
