Who"d a thunk it. We need better bugs! While we"re at it, how about immunity to West Nile and other diseases? Maybe we can get the mozzies to deliver vaccines for things they don"t carry themselves. The possibilities are endless.

It would help if local people tried to do something to help themselves. If you have to go out after dark, you should cover up. If possible spray insecticde around inside your room when you close windows and doors for the night. Better use of netting at windows. Getting rid of stagnant pools of water and spraying larger pools. Put a bounty on mosquitos and make it a citizen's duty to kill them (that worked with flies in China years ago). And so on.
